About the Advisory Board.

The Regeneration Brainery Advisory Board is here to:

  • Strategic Direction: Shape our priorities for the next five years, ensuring our work remains impactful, inclusive, and innovative.

  • Business Planning: Help us strengthen our financial and operational plans, securing long-term sustainability and growth.

Our Advisory Board is a crucial part of our mission to inspire the next generation, ensuring that we continue to champion diversity, creativity, and collaboration in the property industry.

Meet the board.

  • CEO, Regeneration Brainery.

Michele took the helm of Regeneration Brainery in January 2024 following a 20 year+ career in property as a Planning Advisor, firstly at Deloitte and then at Select Property Group/Vita.

Michele has loved getting to know the Brainees since then and is passionate about social mobility and making the property industry more diverse – from the ground up.

  • Co-founder, Capital&Centric.

As co-founder of Social Impact Developers Capital & Centric, Tim likes to get his sleeves rolled up to create opportunities for others to improve their lives.

Known for creating amazing new neighbourhoods and starring on the telly box every now and then, Tim is also behind some of the North West region’s most important charitable programmes, including the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity which he co-founded and chairs, campaigning to tackle homelessness, and Embassy Village, the UK’s biggest purpose built village for people who are homeless.

  • Head of Construction, Gateley.

Hayley is a construction partner at Gateley, where she leads the non-contentious construction practice. Passionate about empowering young people, she believes that Regeneration Brainery is playing a crucial role in unlocking potential and shaping brighter futures.

Leveraging her expertise in the property and regeneration sectors, Hayley is able to offer strategic guidance to support the organisation’s mission.

  • Graduate Development Manager, Muse.

Abiola joined Regeneration Brainery in 2021 as a Brainee on a Manchester Bootcamp. He subsequently enrolled as an Ambassador and has been a prolific supporter of everything Regeneration Brainery has done – supporting the new Brainees on Brainery Weeks, speaking on industry panels, attending UKREiiF and MIPIM 2024. Abiola’s done it all!

He brings the young person’s perspective to the group.

  • Office Manager, Mayfield, LandsecU+I.

Kate is the Community Champion for the Mayfield regeneration project in Manchester, helping to look after community grants, charity partnerships and other social impact initiatives as part of the Landsec Futures scheme. Landsec Futures is a £20m fund that aims to deliver around £200m of social value by 2030, supporting at least 30,000 people from underrepresented socio-economic backgrounds towards long-term employment. It will also provide the chance to increase the diversity of talent at Landsec and across the industry.

Having worked at architects, multi-disciplinary engineers and now LandsecU+I, Kate has a broad experience across the built environment. Most recently she has helped to recruit Regeneration Brainery Ambassador Manuella to join LandsecU+I as their first ever Intern at Mayfield, Manchester – a 6-month internship as part of the Landsec Futures social mobility programme.

  • Managing Partner, Place North.

Alongside being responsible for Place North’s wider UK profile, Dino works closely with Local Authorities and the private sector to help raise the profile of some of the North’s key cities and towns and the opportunities around investment, development, skills and regeneration.

A key influencer in the media world, Dino supports Regeneration Brainery by connecting them to organisations to help grow the partnership funds used to support programme development.

  • Director, Housing & Sustainability, Regional Head of North West – Client Solutions Group, Lloyds Bank.

Chris has spearheaded Lloyds’ support for Regeneration Brainery since 2021, including signing them up for another 3-year partnership in 2024. Chris and his team have attended every Brainery Week run since 2021, directly supporting hundreds of students and giving over 400 hours of Lloyds’ volunteer time.

Leveraging off Lloyds’ extensive network across the property sector, Chris is an incredible connector, cross-referring clients to Regeneration Brainery, and has mentored a number of Brainees and Ambassadors on their personal journeys throughout their time with Regeneration Brainery.

Chris finds every opportunity to externally showcase the successes across the industry, of both Regeneration Brainery as well as its Brainees and Ambassadors.

Octopus is passionate about opening doors to the real estate industry to drive greater diversity of thought and perspective. Laurence leads the Octopus Real Estate summer internship programme which a number of Brainees have participated in, and has been instrumental in driving the partnership with Regeneration Brainery.

Laurence has worked for over 13 years in lending and investment, in both start-up and established businesses. He is committed to social mobility, mentoring both internally and externally.

  • Employment Engagement Manager, EY Foundation.

The EY Foundation focusses on social mobility, particularly breaking down barriers to the workplace for young people living in poverty, believing that every employer in the UK regardless of size, or sector has an important role to play in giving young people a better start to their working lives. Kate is passionate about helping young people access the best possible opportunities, especially those young people who haven't got as many opportunities as others.

She loves connecting young people to like-minded employers who can inspire them, and give them the skills to aim higher.

The EY Foundation was established a decade ago. Kate brings with her a wealth of knowledge of working with young people and preparing them with the skills to thrive.
